Recorded with a roland groovebox self-sample utility straight to wav, which is pretty good sounding. Though i've found this method results in reduced high frequencies.

This sound was entirely created in ableton live using operator synth and a bunch of native effects.

Ambient foley, recorded myself playing the piano on an old 80s cassette recorder. . . Stretched it and ran it through a convolution reverb. This is the result, almost sounds like the intro to a burial track. Would work great in ambient music.

I played a staccato chord into a reverb unit with an infinite delay time. The signal from the reverb was sampled into an akai s612, looped and then resampled into the computer.
